The marriage of Barney McCormick and Miss Maggie Coman has been announced to take place at the Catholic church at an early date.1,2,3 Maggie Coman was ill with "Miss Sadie Price, a trained nurse of Joplin, is nursing her sister, Mrs. Barney Brady." in August 1908 at Scammon, Cherokee, Kansas, United States of America.4 The 1910 US Census listed Maggie Coman along with Arthur McCormick in the household of Bernard McCormick in Mineral Twp, Scammon City, Cherokee County, Kansas.5
Maggie Coman died on 9 December 1914 at Mt. Carmel, Pittsburg, Crawford County, Kansas; "Mrs Bernard McCormick died at Mt. Carmel hospital, Wednesday the 9th. Funeral services were held from St. Bridget's church Sunday the 13th, Rev. J. C. Sullivan, pastor, officiating. Mrs. McCormick was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Coman pioneers of Scammon. Besides her husband and 7 year old son, she leaves behind her father, mother, two sisters, Mesdames Owen Pryor and Dan Harrigan of Scammon, four brothers, William, John, Frank, and Edward, other relatives and a host of friends to mourne her loss."6,7 She was buried on 13 December 1914 at St. Bridget's Cemetery, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas.8
