Bernard Fern was born in 1836 at County Armagh, Ireland.1 He was the son of Francis Fern and Mary Duffy.1 Bernard Fern was baptized on 16 April 1837 at Loughgilly RC Parish, County Armagh, Ireland; Loughgilly RC Parish (apparently in that part not far from Newtownhamilton that lies in Ballymyre Civil Parish, Co Armagh.1
Bernard Fern married Ann Turner on 22 October 1862 at St John's Chapel, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1
Bernard Fern died on 11 August 1885 at 137 Duke St, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland; Bernard died of tuberculosis. His son George was the informant. The death record lists Bernard's father as Francis Fearon, deceased, and his mother as Mary Fearon, M.S. Duffy, deceased.1
