Jane O'Hara

     Jane O'Hara was born circa 1832 at Culnighan, Drummaul, County Antrim, Ireland.¹ She was the daughter of Owen O'Hara and Isabella McCashin.¹ Jane O'Hara was baptized on 4 November 1832 at St. MacNissis, Randalstown, County Antrim, Ireland.²

Jane was enumerated with Hugh Cain on the census of 30 March 1851 at Wallacetown, Newton-On-Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland, as Jane O'Hara. She is a 19 year female born circa 1832 in Ireland. She is enumerated as a niece and works as a hand sewer.³

Jane was enumerated with William McMuldren on the census of 2 April 1871 at Auchinleck, Ayrshire, Scotland, as Jane McMuldrin. She is a 36 year old female born circa 1835 in Ireland.⁶

Jane was enumerated with John Downie on the census of 3 April 1881 at 3rd Row No. 266, Auchinleck, Ayrshire, Scotland, as Jane Downie. She is a 48 year old female born circa 1833 in Ireland.⁹

Jane was enumerated with John Downie on the census of 25 June 1900 at Houtzdale, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, as Jane Douney. She is a married white female 60 years old and was born Nov 1839 in Ireland as were both of her parents. She has been married for 22 years and has given birth to 12 children and 6 have survived. She immigrated to the United States in 1881 and has been a resident for 19 years.¹⁰
