Barbara was widowed by the death of Edward McCormick on 12 October 1875; Edward McCormick, married, 80 yrs old, Laborer, died of old age, uncertified, no medical attendant, informant: Ellen (x) McCormick present at death. Reg. 19 Oct 1875 by James McKee.3
