Loretta Harrigan was born on 11 February 1901 at Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas.1,2 She was the daughter of Hugh Harrigan and Anna Marie McCormick. Loretta Harrigan was baptized on 3 March 1901 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas. The Godparents were James and Martha Tomaney.1
Loretta was enumerated with Hugh Harrigan on the census of 15 April 1910 at Ross Twp, Cherokee County, Kansas, as Loretta Harrigan. Loretta is 9 years old and was born in Kansas. Both of her parents were born in Scotland.3
Loretta Harrigan married Cy M Wright on 14 April 1923 at Parsons, Labette County, Kansas.2 In 26 November 1938 Loretta Harrigan lived at Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.4 In 1 December 1975 Loretta Harrigan lived at Letcher, Sanborn County, South Dakota.5
Loretta Harrigan died on 27 February 1977 at Letcher, Sanborn County, South Dakota, at age 76.2
An obituary was in the Pittsburg paper: Loretta Wright, 76, formerly of Scammon, died at 10 p.m. Sunday at her home in Letchner, S.D. She was born Feb 11, 1901, in Scammon, the daughter of Hugh and Anna Harrigan. She lived in Scammon until marrying C.M. Wright on April 14, 1923, in Parsons. They were residents of Coffeyville for 25 years, moving to Letchener in 1974. Survivors include the widower of the home and one son, Richard Wright of the home. Funeral arrangemnets are incomplete under the direction of Naylor Funeral Home of Weir.6 She was buried at St Bridget's Cemetery, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas.2
