      Ellen H. Harrigan was also known as Nellie Harrigan. She was born on 22 September 1890 at Fleming, Crawford County, Kansas. She was the daughter of Hugh Harrigan and Anna Marie McCormick.

Ellen was enumerated with Hugh Harrigan on the census of 13 June 1900 at Mineral Twp, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas, as Ellen Harigan. Ellen is a white female aged 9 years. She was born Sep 1890 in Kansas and both parents were born in Scotland.1

Ellen was enumerated with Hugh Harrigan on the census of 15 April 1910 at Ross Twp, Cherokee County, Kansas, as Hellen Harrigan. Ellen is 19 years old and was born in Kansas. Both of her parents were born in Scotland.2 Ellen H. Harrigan was the godparent at the baptism of Mary Loretta Brady on 29 June 1910 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas; (The Godfather was Maurice Donahue).3

Ellen H. Harrigan married Ralph Priddy on 18 October 1911 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas, other participants were Daniel Harrigan and Winnifrid Coman.4 In 1938 Ellen H. Harrigan lived at Coffeyville, Montgomery County, Kansas.5

Ellen H. Harrigan died on 29 September 1968 at Coffeyville Memorial Hospital, Coffeyville, Montgomery County, Kansas, at age 78.6 She was buried at Calvary Cemetery, Coffeyville, Montgomery County, Kansas.
An obituary was in the Coffeyville paper: Funeral arrangements are pending here for Mrs Ellen H Priddy, 77, of 215 W Third, who died of a hear attack Monday shortly after being admitted to Coffeyville Memorial Hospital. Born in Fleming, Kan., Sept., 22, 1891, Mrs Priddy came to Coffeyville from Parsons in 1924. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, Hugh, of Decatur, Ill., and Joseph, of Detroit, Mich., a daughter, Mrs Charles Roles, of Muscantine, Iowa; a brother, Leo Harrigan, of Scammon; a sister, Mrs Loretta Wright, of Southgate, Calif; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.7
