Elizabeth Ann Harrigan was also known as Lizzie Harrigan.1 She was born on 8 February 1887 at Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas.2,3 She was the daughter of Hugh Harrigan and Anna Marie McCormick. Elizabeth Ann Harrigan was baptized on 27 February 1887 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas.2
Elizabeth was enumerated with Hugh Harrigan on the census of 13 June 1900 at Mineral Twp, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas, as Elizabeth Harigan. Elizabeth is listed as a white female age 13. She was born Feb 1887 in Kansas and both parents were born in Scotland.4
Elizabeth Ann Harrigan married Mike Carlson on 17 February 1909 at Immaculate Conception Church, West Mineral, Cherokee County, Kansas.1 In 26 November 1938 Elizabeth Ann Harrigan lived at Columbus, Cherokee County, Kansas.5 In 12 October 1939 Elizabeth Ann Harrigan lived at Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas.6 In 11 September 1941 Elizabeth Ann Harrigan lived at Corona, Cherokee County, Kansas.7
Elizabeth Ann Harrigan died on 9 August 1968 at Girard City Hospital, Girard, Crawford County, Kansas, at age 81.1 She was buried on 12 August 1968 at St Bridget's Cemetery, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas.1,8
An obituary was in the Pittsburg newspaper: Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Carlson, 81, of Cherokee, died at the Girard City Hospital at 8 p.m. Friday. She had resided in the Girard Rest Home for the past four years. Mrs Carlson was born Feb 8, 1887 in Scammon. She married John M. Carlson in Scammon in 1909. He died in January 1952. Survivors include four sons, John H. Carlson and Hugh Carlson of Route 1, Cherokee ; Nelson Carlson, Route 2, Pittsburg, and Paul Carlson, Wichita; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Priddy, Coffeyville and Mrs Loretta Wright, Southgate, Calif., one brother, Leo Harrigan, Scammon; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Rosary will be said at the Naylor-Quinn Chapel in Weir at 8 p.m. Sunday. Requiem Mass will said at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St Bridget;s Catholic Church. Father Joseph Tochert will officiate. Burial will be in St Bridget's Catholic Cemetery in Scammon.9
