Edward was enumerated with Hugh Harrigan on the census of 15 April 1910 at Ross Twp, Cherokee County, Kansas, as Ed Harrigan. Ed is 17 years old and was born in Kansas. He works as a miner and both of his parents were born in Scotland.4
Edward A Harrigan married Corrine Yobst on 4 July 1917 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Frontenac, Crawford County, Kansas.2 In 26 November 1938 Edward A Harrigan lived at Pittsburg, Crawford County, Kansas.5 He was living on 12 October 1939 at Pittsburg, Crawford County, Kansas. A resident of Pittsburg but currently a patient at the Veteran's Hospital in Chicago.6 In 11 September 1941 Edward A Harrigan lived at Kansas City.7
Edward A Harrigan died on 16 December 1949 at Menorah Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri, at age 57.2
An obituary was in the Pittsburg paper: Word was received here yesterday that Edward A Harrigan, 57, a former resident of the Scammon-Pittsburg districts died about 1 p.m. at the Menorah Hospital in Kansas City. Harrigan was born in Boicourt, Kan., in 1892 and moved to Scammon in his youth. He moved to Kansas City in 1924. Harrigan held a membership in the Benjamin A Fuller American Legion Post of Pittsburg. Survivors include the widow, Corinne, of the home; his father, Hugh Harrigan of Coffeyville; five sisters, Mrs Elizabeth Carlson of Cherokee, Mrs Nellie Priddy of Coffeyville, Mrs Mary Nevins of Kansas City, Mrs Loretta Wright of Los Angeles and Mrs Barbara Cantrell of Wichita; two brothers, Leo Harrigan of Scammon and Joe Harrigan, serving with the armed forces in Arabia. The body was brought from Kansas City today to the home of a sister-in-law, Mrs Leonore Botefuhr of 1312 ½ South Broadway where the rosary will be said at 8 o'clock Sunday night. Funeral services will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac at 10 a.m. Monday. Interment will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The Friskel Chapel is in charge of arrangements.8 He was buried on 19 December 1949 at Mt Carmel Cemetery, Frontenac, Crawford County, Kansas.9
