1855, Deaths Burgh Ayr, County Ary, Kean Hugh Jobbing labourer, male 45 yr born Co. Antrim 14 years in this district, his father was Hugh Kean, labourer and mother was Mary Kean, maiden name Murphy. Wife's name: Mary Harrow, children: Jane, 14 yr., Hugh 6 years, Terrence and John 2 years both dead, Samuel 15 mos dead and Daniel, 10 weeks, Hugh died Dec. 1 1855, 9PM at Simmond's Wyne, Wallacetown. Cause of death was morbus cordis for years as testified by J.L. Crowford, MD who last saw him 30 Nov. 1855. Burial at Wallacetown Church Yard. Informant Owen O'Hara, brother-in-law. Reg. Dec. 3 1855 at Ayr.1
