An obituary was in the McAlester newspaper: William M. Masterson, 56, of this city, whose death occurred Friday in Oklahoma City, will be conducted here Tuesday morning at 10:00 in the Holy Rosary Catholic church. Rev. Jerome Castelict, pastor, will officiate at the mass. Mr. Masterson was born August 10,1889, at Scammon, Kan. He had been a miner and more recently was an employ at the U.S.N.A.D., at McAlester. Besides his widow, he leaves three sons, a daughter, three grandchildren and a brother. The sons are William O. Masterson, who is in the Navy; Howat A. Masterson and Trenton D. Masterson , both of Hartshorne, and his daughter Mrs. Virginia Allen of Hartshorne. The brother, Francis Masterson, is a resident of Arma, Kan. Mr. Masterson's body will lie in state at the home in Hartshorne, from Sunday afternoon until the time for services at the church. Chaney's funeral home, of McAlester, is in charge.3 He was buried on 24 February 1946 at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Hartshorne, Pittsburg County, Oklahoma.3
