From the Carbondale paper: A Quiet but impressive wedding ceremony took place at the St. Rose parochial residence yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock when Miss Gertrude Gessler, daughter of Mr and Mrs Martin Gessler of Park Street, and Francis Grady of Simpson, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. The ceremony was performed by the pastor, Rt Rev Mgr T. F. Coffey. The attendants were Miss Anna Karnes and Edward Morrison. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents on Park street and later the young couple left for a wedding tour. Upon their return they will take up their residence at the Gessler home of Park street.1,4
