RUSSELL THOMAS LEWIS
A Columbia Union High School graduate, Russell Thomas Lewis, of Tacoma, died March 5, at a local hospital in Tacoma. He was 73.
Mr. Lewis was born on April 7, 1917 in Glenwood, Wash. to India A. (Agee) and Aubrey G. Lewis. He moved to Bingen as a child and graduated from Columbia Union High School in 1936. He joined the Air Force in 1942, was discharged in 1945. Disabled from the military Mr. Lewis spent most of his life in nursing homes.
He is survived by his brother, Harold Lewis, of Hood River; sisters, Edna Woosley, of Vancouver, Wash., Virginia O'Brady, of Woodburn, Ore., and Lorene Ladiges, of Glenwood, Wash; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service was held at Mt. Adams Cemetery in Glenwood on March 9.
