Hattie Stepheson married Patrick Masterson on 3 May 1886.1,2 Hattie Stepheson died on 9 March 1929 near Columbus, Cherokee County, Kansas.3 She was buried on 11 March 1929 at St Bridget's Cemetery, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas.3 An obituary was in the Scammon newspaper:
Funeral services for Mattie Masterson, 69, who died Saturday nite near Columbus was held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Bridget's Catholic Church with Rev P. J. O'Leary in charge will burial in Catholic cemetery (sic).
Survivors are the husband, Pat Masterson and two sons, William Masterson of Okla. and Frances Masterson of Scammon.4
