Daniel Ryan married Margaret Jane Crilly, daughter of Mary McGinnis, on 20 June 1894 at Old Catholic Church, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas. A very pretty wedding service free from ostentation , was that which joined Miss Margaret Crilly and Mr. Daniel Ryan at the Catholic church in this city Wednesday morning, June 20th. Father M. J. Casey officiated and performed the rites of a catholic wedding ceremony, in the prescence of a large number of friends. The bride and groom entered the church followed by Mr. John Ryan and Miss Lena Doyle, Joseph Crilly and Miss Katie Stewart. The bride was attired in crystal white silk, bride's veil, white kid gloves, a wreath of orange blossoms. The groom wore the conventional black and bouquet of orange blossoms. After the usual congratulations, the bridal party repaired to the home of the bride's mother, where a sumptious wedding dinner was awaiting them, of which about 200 guests participated.
