Anne was enumerated with William Grady on the census of 1 June 1900 at Mineral Twp, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas, as Annie Grady. Ann is listed as a white female age 5 years. She was born Feb 1894 in Kansas. Her father was born in England and her mother was born in Pennsylvania.3

Anne was enumerated with William Grady on the census of 1 March 1905 at Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas, as Anna Grady. She is a 14 year old female and was born in Kansas.4
Anne J. Grady was enumerated with William Grady on the census of 15 April 1910 at Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas, as Annie Grady. Ann is a white female and listed as daughter. she is 16 years old and was born in Kansas. Her father was born in England and her mother was born in Pennsyvania. She can read and write.5

In 1915 Ann worked at the Lewis Grocery in Scammon. Marge Thayer remembers seeing Ann handling big sacks of potatoes as part of her job.6

Anne was enumerated with William Grady on the census of 1 March 1915 at Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas, as Anna Grady. She is a single white female21 years old born in Kansas. She works as a clerk.7

The local paper reported the following on Aug 1916: An outing party consisting of Mr. and Mrs. Alf. Lewis and baby, Misses Mary Grady, Grace McCormick, Adelia Fern, and Anna Grady spent yesterday at Riverside park. The day was unusually enjoyed by all, little thinking of the serious accident which did happen on their return trip. Leaving Riverside coming home while endeavoring to climb the big hill, the car was unable to climb it and started back down the hill. In less time than it takes to tell it the car ran off the side and upset, pinning all the occupants under it. The young ladies managed to lift up and crawl out one at a time, but Alf and his wife and baby were pinned fast. The girls lifting, gave them breathing spells, and for assistance coming soon, they might have been subjects for the undertaker now. The entire party were more or less scratched and bruised. Alf is not able to be at his store this morning. The car was broken considerably. The party came back on the Pittsburg, Joplin street car.8

The following appeared in the local paper in Feb 1923: Miss Anna Grady of the National Produce Co. of Pittsburg was supplying our merchants' wants in that line Monday.9

Anne J. Grady is head of household on the census of 30 April 1930 at New York City, Queens, New York, as Ann J. Grady. She is a single white female 35 years old born in Kansas. She rents for $90 a month and is the proprietor of a beauty salon. Her father and mother were both born in Pennsylvania. Enumerated with her were Joseph Leo Grady, Marcella Grady and Mary L. Belleza.10

The following appeared in the Scammon paper in Aug 1931: Miss Ann Grady accompanied by her brother, Joe and their cousin, Miss Marcella Grady of New York City were the guest of Mr. and Mrs. James Fern on Monday. They will spend a few days with friends in Pittsburg before leaving for a visit among relatives in West Virginia. Thence home to New York City by September 15th. They left New York City on August 3rd. Miss Ann is driving a new Chrysler seven passenger car and is operating Beauty Parlor in New York City, and employs four girls besides herself. She has made a success of the business and is prospering nicely. Glad of it. Congratulations, Miss Ann.11

Anne died in February 1973 at Flushing, Queens, New York.
