     Winnifrid Coman was born on 22 October 1883 at Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas.

Winnifrid Coman married Daniel Harrigan, son of Hugh Harrigan and Anna Marie McCormick, on 21 May 1908 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas. This marriage would end in diviorce sometime after the death in infancy of their daughter born 9 Jul 1910. By 1920, Daniel is enumerated in the household of his father, Hugh. Winnifred would never remarry but interestingly she would become a step-mother to her nephew Arthur McCormick after the death of Arthur's mother and Winnifred's sister, Mary Coman. Arthur's father, Bernard McCormick and Daniel Harrigan were 1st cousins.1 The 1910 US Census listed Winnifrid Coman in the household of Daniel Harrigan in Mineral Twp, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas.2

Winnifrid Coman witnessed the marriage of Ralph Priddy and Ellen H. Harrigan on 18 October 1911 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas.3

Winnifrid was enumerated with Daniel Harrigan on the census of 15 April 1915 at Mineral Twp, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas, as Winnie Harrigan. Winnie is indicated as a 31 year old white female born in Kansas. She is a housewife.4 Winnifrid Coman and Daniel Harrigan were divorced on 27 October 1915 at Cherokee County, Kansas.5

Winnifrid Coman died circa 1963 at Mt Carmel Hospital, Pittsuburg, Crawford County, Kansas.6
An obituary was in the Columbus newspaper: Miss Winnie Coman of Scammon Dies Miss Winnie Coman, age 79, of Scammon at 11:05 at Mt Carmel Hospital in Pittsburg, where she had been a patient since Dec. 30. Born Oct. 22, 1883, in Scammon, she had resided in Scammon until 1932, when she moved to Oswego and became associated with her brother, E.J. Coman, in the Coman's department store. Miss Coman retired in 1947, and returned to Scammon. She had made her home with a sister, Mrs Owen Pryor, since that time. She was a member of st Bridget's Church in Scammon. In addition to the Mrs. Pryor, and the brother, E.J. Coman of Oswego, surviving is another brother, Frank C Coman of Scammon. The rosary will be said tonight at 7:30 at the Naylor-Quinn Chapel in Scammon. Requiem High Mass will be offered tomorrow morning, at 9:30 at St Bridget's Catholic Church in Scammon. Burial will be at St Bridget's Cemetery.7 She was buried on 7 May 1963 at St. Bridget's, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas.6,8
