Mr. Brady is a well known young man of this place and has a splendid reputation among the miners of this district. His bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs James Price, one of Cherokee counties properous farmers, who live a mile south of this city. The miner extends congratulations.8
The following appeared in the local paper: Married at St. Bridget's church, Wednesday morning at nine o'clock, Mr. Bernard Brady and Miss Marie Price. Rev. Father Hurley, officiating. Miss Sadie Price acted as bridesmaid and Mr. Tom Brady as groomsman while Miss Mollie McMahon and Mr. Joe Price were attendants. After the ceremony the bridal party drove to the future home of the newly married couple where a magnifcant wedding breakfast was served. The bride and bridesmaid were most beautifully gowned in cream silk etemine, trimmed in pearls, ribbon and chiffon, while the groom and groomsman wore the customary black. In the evening the band from town serenaded the happy-young couple, and chivari boys were also there. The groom is the second son of Mr. and Mrs Jno. Brady, an industrious well esteemed young man.9

Bernard A. Brady married Nell Shaw on 10 November 1930 at St. Bridget's, Scammon, Cherokee, Kansas. Mrs Nell Shaw of Coal Vallery and Mr. Bernard Brady were married at the Catholic parsonage in Scammon Monday morning, Nov. 19, Rev Rather O'Leary officiating. The bride has lived in Coal Valley most of her life and formerly taught school there. She is well know and popular, and has taken an active part insocial and civic activities of the community. Mr. Brady is a well know farmer who has lived in the community of Weir and Scammon many years, and is held in high esteem by a host of friends. Mr. and Mrs. Brady left for a trip to Oklahoma following the ceremony, and will be at home to their friends after Nov. 15th. They will make their home on Mr. Brady's farm 2 miles east and1\2 mile south of Weir.16
The Scammon News Herald reports 10 Apr 1931: Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Brady motored to Joplin Wednesday and brought Miss Frances Brady to spend the Easter vacation at home.17
From the Scammon paper dated 5 Feb 1932: Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Brady and children, Phyliss and Bernard, and Hugh Harrigan motored to Oswego Sunday afternoon.18
