     Robert McCormick was born on 9 March 1920 at Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas. He was the son of Daniel McCormick and Thelma Hamilton. The following notices appeared in the Scammon pape between 1935 and 1942: Bob McCormick tenor and student at the community high school here, entertained the Rotary club today with three popular numbers. He was accompanied by Ferney Delaney of Scammon. McCormick, who represents CCCHS at the Tri-state music contest at Pittsburg this spring, is singing regularly every Sunday night this summer over radio station WMBH, Joplin. _Scammon News Herald_ 2 Aug 1935

Bob McCormick, Scammon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan McCormick, was a member of the cast of an experimental drama "Allen, Inc." which was given at Cottonwood Falls recently by the Gilson Players of Emporia State. This was the second of the experimental series given by the Gilson Players under the supervision of Dr. F.L. Gilson. _Scammon News-Herald_ 27 Mar 1942.

Bobby McCormick, son of Mr. and Mrs Dan McCormick, left Friday of last week to enlist as a draftee.1

Robert McCormick died in May 1984 at Springfield, Missouri, at age 64.

Bobby died of cancer in Springfield and was cremated. His ashes are with his parents in Scammon. He lived in Eire, PA and then Witchita where he worked for Cessna. Married but it didn't work out.2 He was buried at St. Bridget's Cemetery, Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas.
